Richard is an accomplished and strategic commercial lawyer. He invests time in listening to his clients’ needs to ensure his advice achieves and protects their legal and commercial interests. He enjoys building long-term relationships with his clients.
Richard joined the legal profession in 2017 working as the Senior Legal Advisor to a Queensland Senator, before moving to a national law firm in Canberra where he specialised in commercial law.
Joining the Lexmerca Lawyers’ team in 2020, Richard fast became a key member of the commercial team.
He is experienced in providing outstanding legal advice to clients on mergers and acquisitions, commercial property transactions, corporate governance, business sales and purchases, intellectual property, building and construction, dispute resolution/litigation, insolvency, and sports law. Richard works with businesses, start-ups, not-for-profits, builders and developers, commercial landlords and tenants across Australia.
He is studying his Masters of Commercial Law at the University of Melbourne, which means he is well placed to tackle the most complex commercial matters and provide advice that is practical, relevant, and commercial.
Richard is a proud volunteer with the ACT Law Society’s Legal Advice Bureau, where he provides free legal advice across a range of issues to Canberrans.
In 2020, Richard was a finalist in the ‘Lawyers Weekly 30 under 30’ in the Commercial Law category. His nomination evidences his legal skills, hard work and commercial acumen.
